Warne traffic stop leads to drug arrests

The following press release has been issued by Clay County Sheriff's Office.  All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Clay County Sheriff Davis said on the night of Monday November 7, 2016, a Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle in the Warne community for a traffic violation. Upon obtaining the driver’s information, it was discovered he had an active warrant out of Cherokee County. One of the passengers provided false information as to his identity, even stating he was sick and provided the wrong date of birth. 
 
While conducting a search of the vehicle, deputies found narcotics and drug paraphernalia. All four were arrested and taken to the Clay County Detention Center. 
 
Sheriff Davis said once they got to the Detention Center, one of the females, Faith Duckworth, was discovered to have approximately 4.8 grams of methamphetamine concealed on her person  as well as a glass smoking pipe.
 
Jason Crenshaw, 45 of Young Harris, was charged with Driving While License Revoked and was served his Cherokee County warrants. He is being held on a $250 bond.

Travis Rutledge, 35 of Murphy, was charged with Resisting Public Officer and served his warrants out of Cherokee County. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.

Rashelle Sauger, 46 of Murphy, was charged with Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is being held on a $5,000 bond. 

Faith Duckworth, 39 of Murphy, was charged with Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance in the Detention Center and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She is being held on a $15,000 bond.
