The following press release has been issued by Towns County Sheriff's Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On June 8, 2016, a burglary was reported to the Towns County Sheriff’s Office in the 3700 block of Highway 76 in Hiawassee.
Charles Mathew Stovall, age 28 of Travelers Rest, South Carolina was arrested on Wednesday June 29th and charged with one count of Burglary 1St Degree and one count of Burglary 2nd Degree in reference to the reported burglary.
Stovall bonded out of the Towns County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. The investigation is active an ongoing with an additional arrests expected.
